For any reason you are not satisfied with any purchase, we offer a HASSLE-FREE Return and Exchange policy.

Mr. Smart” reserves all rights to decline any refund or replacement of goods if the following-mentioned conditions aren’t met.

Exchanges:

We would be happy to exchange an item if you contact us within 7 days of the purchase date. The product must be in its original packaging and new, unused condition. To initiate an exchange, please contact our customer service team at info@mrsmart.co.za to obtain an exchange authorization. Once we receive the exchanged product and verify its condition, we will ship the new product to you at no additional cost.

Defective or Damaged Products:

If we accidentally deliver any damaged goods or short-supply item/s,  please notify the customer service team at info@mrsmart.co.za within 7 working days and we will collect the item/s from you free of charge. We will arrange for a replacement, refund, or credit your account depending on the situation and your preference. Please provide photos of the defect or damage to expedite the process.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and will do whatever we can to ensure a satisfactory resolution.

Returns:

If you decide to return the purchased items within the first 7 days of receipt, we will offer you a 100% refund. 
If your product fall in our return policies you can return your product by filling this form; Return Form.

 

Exceptions:

Except for the following exceptions, all products are eligible for return or exchange:

  1. Change of Mind.
  2. Items of a special order.
  3. Products damaged as a result of negligence or mishandling.
  4. Electrical fixtures damaged by water, overvoltage, strikes, surges, or accidents.
  5. Alterations to the product that hinders it to function as intended.
  6. Gadgets are used with incompatible accessories.
  7. Products that have been used,  disassembled, permanently fixed, or modified. It pertains to electrical, gas, plumbing equipment, and products that require installation or that use batteries to provide electricity. Such returns must accompany the appropriate COC (Certificate Of Compliance) if installed.

Guidelines for return procedure:

Often, products are manufactured in foreign factories, so they are unfit for resale if the packaging is removed, torn open, or damaged.

  • Please ensure the goods are in the same saleable condition, unused, and in the original packaging with all seals intact, including labels and stickers.
  • Securely package the product in its original packaging (including cardboard, wrap, bubble sheet, etc. to ensure protection during transit.

Procedure:

To initiate a return via the website, please navigate to  → ‘Returns’ to get a return authorization ticket.  Follow the on-screen prompts, fill in the credentials, and provide photos of the defect or damage for us to verify and expedite the process. Once we receive the image and inspect the product’s condition, we will contact you.

After the evaluation, we will inform you if the product is eligible for return or not. (depending on the criteria of ‘return exceptions’ mentioned above).

In case, the product qualifies for a return, you will be notified once your Mr. Smart e-wallet has been credited.

NOTE: Refunds can take up to 3-5 business days. Please bear the cost of the courier or logistics when returning an item to us. Returns via other methods, such as locker drop-off, are not accepted.

FAQs

  • Cancel return:

Your return request can be canceled if it has not been processed yet i.e. 

If we haven’t received the product and you have contacted us in time.

No cancellation fees will be charged to customers.

NOTE: Your return address cannot be changed after it has been logged. You will need to log a new return with the new address after canceling the previous one. 

Track return status:

You will receive updates on your return via email/SMS link. You can self-track your return by going to → Returns.

Reschedule return collection:

It is possible to reschedule the collection of your return only if:

You received an SMS about your expected return date.

You have not exceeded your maximum return deferral requests. (Note: Only two rescheduled requests can be made per returning item.)

Warranties:

Within the stipulated warranty period of the product, the defective products can be replaced. (Warranty isn’t offered for perishable, consumable, and maintenance items).

Please refer to the product-specific page for the applicable warranty for that product, if no warranty information is given on the product page, please get in touch with us at info@mrsmart.co.za for us to verify the warranty for you.

We provide a minimum warranty of 6 months. For the standard warranty to be applicable, abiding by manufacturer-specific requirements is necessary.
